JE Griffith's Pedigrees has, on chart 3a, a marriage between Henry Jones,
son of John George of Fferam, Llanfihangel Trebeirdd, and Elizabeth
Rowland, and Mary daughter of Owen Cadwaladr of Wern, Llanddona who would
be of the right generation (flourishing in 1749) to be the next generation
back for your Henry and Edward Owen. The most interesting, from what you
wrote, is Owen Cadwaladr (?father?), but, unfortunately, he gets only a
mention in the main tree with no ancestry. It is written that he was "the
ancestor of Rev John Ogwen Jones, CM minister, son of David Jones,
gardener of Bangor" (no dates). On the NLW website for Llanddona there are
wills for: Edward Owen 1752 & Henry Owen 1763, both of Wern, Llanddona.
There is only one Owen Cadwalader will - Llangaffo 1745 (right over the
other side of the island) and this will is a fragment mentioning no Edward
or Henry. I agree that Anne Jones (1773, Cemlyn) was mother of Grace
Edward, who is mentioned in Edward's will among!
st other children. It might be worth remembering the farm name C[r]emlyn
as sometimes families at two farms like this were connected over multiple
generations. Google Books has a couple of references to "Howell, a
substantial yeoman of Wern, Llanddona", a Royalist. The National
Library's main catalogue has nothing of seeming interest. Maybe try the
Archives at Llangefni and Bangor University Archives for any other
mentions of the property in the 18th century as well as hitting the parish
register. Yours, Ian
