I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news twice in a day. The Registrars in
Llangefni will in future be charging a search fee of £6.00. This is part of
the council cut backs, they have argued their case and got it down to £6 and
don't have to charge a fee if the application is for a certificate. Best
wishes, Dave
I hope some one on the list could give me some advice please.
My 2xg grrandmother Grace Jones was born in Anglesey in 1815 (about)
In the 1851 census she gives her birth place as "Llanrhuddlad " but in all
other census's after that she gives it as "Rhoscolyn".
I have found her marriage(1835) in Rhoscolyn and she is described as
"Spinster of this Parish".
I'm afraid I don't know the geography of Anglesey at all well and I was
wondering if there is an obvious reason for her to give two different places
?
Also could you advise if the baptism records for 1815 survive for Rhoscolyn
and/or Llanrhuddlad ?
Thank you,
Mike Jones
