Hello Katie
Could she had been married by 1891....are there any Mary J., (unknown surname) born in
1872 listed
at the Dwyran CM Cemetery?
Just a thought

Baron Hill estate?
In the 1881 census my Robert Thomas family members are listed as living at Baron
Hill, even though he was employed as a slate quarry laborer. This confuses me,
as this was a grand estate. Why was a poor quarry laborer living there? Was it
divided into individual apartments at some point? Also, is there a cemetery on
the estate or nearby? The family was Calvanistic Methodists. I want to check
to see if their daughter Mary J., born 3/1/1872, shown age 9 in 1881, is buried
nearby there. She is not shown buried in the Dwyran C.M. Chapel cemetery with
the rest of the family, and this is the last census in which she appears.
Thanks for any help. -- Katie Thomas, NY, U.S.A.

The parish church would be Church of England (now church in Wales) not
Catholic. I believe it's called St Eleth. Google Amlwch parish church and a
number of photos turn up. Yes it's still standing
