Forwarded from Wendy Archer from the list owner's list.
I've been asked by Dominic Johnson, FFHS Director of Education, to publicise
the FFHS Genealogy Award for Young People.
I've confirmed that the entrant does not need to have family members who
belong to Family History Societies.

The Federation of Family History Societies is holding a competition for the
Genealogy Award for Young People.
There are two categories, one for those who are 14 or under
on 31st July 2002 and one for those who are 15 to 18 on that date.
Full details are at
http://www.ffhs.org.uk/General/YoungPeople.htm
Although the Federation covers Family History Societies world-wide, the
decision has been made to restrict entrants to this, the first such
competition, to residents of the United Kingdom. The venture is somewhat of
a pilot scheme.
Quoting from the web page:
"Enter for the Genealogy Award for Young People by writing a story about
some character or family history event that is of interest to you."

So - a half term challenge, maybe!
