My grandfather, Evan THOMAS - born 1860 Anglesey, had a sister named Ellen
who married a JONES. Ellen then had a daughter named Ellen JONES. The name
HUGHES appears in my THOMAS family records along with ROWLAND and OWENS.
A possibility there is a connection, but these names seem to appear, again
and again, throughout Wales, with no relationship.

Not sure if there is any connection here or not. My Great-Grandfather was
named Thomas HUGHES and he was married to an Ellen JONES....however, they
lived in a small village in North Wales called Bodedern....near Bryngwran,
Anglesey Wales. I am not sure of the exact date of his birth, but do know
that he was born about the time frame as yours. My Thomas HUGHES,
great-grandfather I thought was born in Llechycched,North Wales. Read your
posting and did wonder! If you wish any further information you may e-mail
me
at the following. Beachcomber259(a)aol.com.
