The boundary changes took place in 1851.
Up until that area many of the small towns and areas around Amlwch were
lumped in with Amlwch.
After 1851 Llanbadrig, Llanerchymedd, Llanelian and many more were listed
separately

Subject: [ANGLESEY] Boundary Change of Amlwch and Llanbadrig Parishes
A cousin also searching for the birth place and parents/siblings of
"my"
grgrgrandfather William OWEN(s), born on June 20, 1831, in either Amlwch
or
Llanbadrig (depending on the census), was recently told about an
adjustment
being made to the boundary of the parishes of Amlwch and Llanbadrig
in the
latter half of the 19th century. In the earlier census, my
grgrgrandfather's
birthplace is listed as Amlwch, later as Llanbadrig. We are trying
to
learn
if the land included in the boundary change was possibly where he was
born,
accounting for the change of birthplace in the census returns.
Does anyone have any knowledge of this boundary change? Any information
or
suggestions would be most appreciated!!
