Dear Iolo and list,
For marriages not covered by the GFHS indexes I have found Dafydd Hayes
marriage index useful. He is a member of Clwyd FHS and has indexed PRs,
marriage bonds and BTs for Mid and North Wales. There is a 5 pound charge
for the use of his service unfortunately.

I would be most grateful for any information about a John Hughes who farmed Talgwyn in Pentraeth , and appears on the Land Tax Assessment during 1789-95. His wife was called Agnes, which is quite an unusual name, so I would be most grateful if anybody could locate their marriage.
During 1754-1788 a Hugh Owen farmed Talgwyn, and given the law of Welsh patronymics it would make perfect sense for Hugh to be John's father, but more proof would be greatly valued.
I would be grateful on any information about a Richard Hughes of Greiglas, Llanallgo, who on 9 December 1744 married Ann or Jane Lloyd at Llanallgo. They later lived at Traeth Bychan, Llaneugrad.
