Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
I am also searching for a WILLIAM OWEN(S), father of WILLIAM OWEN(S) b. June
20, 1831 in either Amlwch or Llanbadrig. I don't have any information about
siblings as of yet. William (the son) married Sarah ROBERTS August 22, 1857
in Llanfairfechan. Children were:
Owen (married Jane LLOYD),
Margaret (married Robert WILLIAMS),
William (married Mary HURLEY),
Jane (can't find after 1871) and
Grace (married Thomas JONES).
Occupation of William (father) was listed as laborer; William (son) as
laborer and aglab.

As with most of my Owens they were from Llanerchymedd and shoemakers.
I have found a christening of a William son of John (parish clerk)&
Margaret.
Their other children (with dates of christening) were
Elinor
John 1799
Thomas 1802
David 1804
Hugh 1805
Richard 1807
Robert 1809
Margaret 1811
Is anybody else researching these people or do you have any information
that might help me?

The PRO has asked list administrators to pass the following statement on to
their lists:

We are very aware of the great disappointment that a lot of people have
experienced in not being able to access the 1901 Census site or who have
gained access to the site and then experienced difficulties in using it.
We very much regret that this has occurred. There have been very high
levels of demand peaking at 1.2 million hits at one time. QinetiQ, who
are responsible for the site, are working with their contractors to
resolve this as soon as possible. We will publish regular updates.
Please remember that if you would prefer, there are microfiche copies
available at Kew and at local record offices throughout England and Wales.
Contact & feedback may be made via the address 1901census(a)pro.gov.uk

I tried to log on to the census page at 9:01 this morning, which was clearly
one minute too late, because I got a "server is too busy" message then, and
have had the same result from every subsequent attempt. It looks like waiting
for the site to calm down after a few weeks is going to be the best policy

Dear Arlene,
I have heard from someone else that you can gain access to the index for
1901 but to see an entire entry or page, you will have to pay (I don't
know how this is arranged).

I would be grateful for any information on a Gwen Jones born probably around 1800. On 20 November 1821 she married Owen Jones from Amlwch, at Llanidan parish church.
On February 17 1822 their son John was christened at Llanidan, and Owen was then a shoemaker living in Brynsiencyn, but by March 1823, when their son Owen was christened at Llannerchymedd Calvinistic Methodist church, they had moved to Llannerchymedd.
Does anyone know Humphrey Williams b. circa 1750. Married Grace Jones at Eglwysbach 23 May 1788?
