I don't know anything further on these entries.

You can find the 1841 Amlwch Anglesey Census Index at:
http://www.parysmountain.co.uk
When you get to that site, put "index" in the search box. You will see
another place to click (index). Then you will see an alphabetical
listing. Go to Census 1841. You can then search surnames by clicking.
By the way, the 1851 Amlwch census index is on Genuki. I can't remember
the Genuki URL right now.

We have found ancestors living at Tyncae, Llaneilian, in the 1881 census.
It was farmed by Edward JONES b.abt 1790 then his son Hugh JONES b.1843.
Both were also miners on Parys mountain.
Does any lister have any information about Tyncae (we found it on an old OS
map) and whether it still stands?
WARNING - there seems to be a fault in our copy of the 1881 Wales CD index
and none of the names in folio 72 of Anglesey come up in a search. Makes it
quite a challenge to find them! Here's the entry when you get there
Dwelling: Tyncae
Census Place: Llaneilian, Anglesey, Wales
Source: FHL Film 1342342 PRO Ref RG11 Piece 5591 Folio 72 Page

Cathrin JONES U 49 F Llanelian

Hint - find anybody in a lower numbered folio, then hit Neighbours and
PageDown until you get to folio 72
Incidentally we'll do 1881 lookups for Anglesey off list

Hello,
Has anyone come across any reference to Michael Roberts 1600 - 1679.
Son of Evan Roberts, Llanfinan and brother of Elin wife of Owen ap John,
Bodeilio, Llanddyfnan. Educated at Trinty College, Dublin, Michael was
appointed Principal of Jesus College, Oxford in 1648.
Maldwyn.
