Shelly,
I just went to
http://www.rootsweb.com/~wimarath/index.htm with no
problem. Says Welcome to Marathon County. Celebrating Wisconsin's
Sesquicentennial, right?
When I input
http://www.rootsweb.com/~wimarath/, I get the same page.
If you left the last / off the URL, you should get the list of pages in
your file. Which I can't seem to do, since it keeps on adding that last
/ back in for me! <grrrr>
Try it again, this time holding down the Shift key when you hit Enter,
after inputting the URL. This clears your cache, so that your browser
gets the latest page, instead of pulling it from your cache.
Hope this helps!

I have tried to upload my Marathon County main page, as I made a change to it.
The new page I added has apparently uploaded fine, but when I try the main
page, all I get is the parent directory --
http://rootsweb.com/~wimarath/
titled "index of ~wimarath"
My main page is named C://Wisconsin/Marathon County/Marathon/index.htm
WHAT am I doing wrong?- I have uploaded this page many times before without
this problem!
Or is it just the problems rootsweb is having?
Please e-mail me directly!
Thanks--
Shelley
