I am the Archives Coordinator for Kansas & Iowa. I have just opened
Kansas up for CC's to have their own counties if they want to. So far
I've gotten about 5 to do that. I think it is a good thing to have the
CC do their own archives if they want to/can. However, there still
*has* to be one main state coordinator just for admin/supervision
purposes & also to handle those counties that the CC can't. Remember,
CC's are not required in USGW to do their Archives. That is a sister
project and the lines are blurry but they truly are different. Perhaps
eventually there will be one CC for the county & one CC for the
archive. In the meantime, I think it is definite that we do still need
a main AC in addition to the CC's doing their own counties.
Unfortunately, I'm maxed out or I'd take the job on, but I'd be glad to
coach anyone who would like to do it but is afraid they're not up to it.

Hi All,
I personally feel that we should have just one person handling the WI
USGenWeb
archives. I for one, can not handle the extra load at this time.
What would happen to Lafayette county, WI archives if no one
volunteered to
handle it?
