Sandi has done an outstanding job, bless her heart, but I can see where it
would be overwhelming. But the point is she has asked for someone to take
over and there are no takers, so before she just drops the project she has
offered a 'temp' solution for those of us who can take it on. If a CC
doesn't volunteer for their county(s), basically, it just won't get done
until someone volunteers for the job, just like if a county isn't hosted...
If you have checked out:
http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/wi/wifiles.htm
you'd find most of the counties have limited records, but as the project
grows it would make sense to have the CC do their own records, or work with
a separate coordinator for their county's archives. I volunteered for
WoodCoWI and PortageCoWI archives, but am willing to allow other's to
transcribe, send me the file attached, and all I do is do an FTP upload. I
am definitely NOT going to do all the transcriptions nor would I expect
others to think that is my job.
It would be great to have a single WI Arhive coordinator, like the WI
Coordinator, with WI CAC (County Archives Coordinator) assigned for each
county, like the WI CC's, to spread the workload... But unless someone
volunteers, this is the next best choice... so why the debate???
(NO - I am not volunteering - grin)....

Hi All,
I personally feel that we should have just one person handling the WI USGenWeb
archives. I for one, can not handle the extra load at this time.
What would happen to Lafayette county, WI archives if no one volunteered to
handle it?
