Shelley,
At the time, I extracted all the email links out of my old query page and sent
one email out to all of them, requesting that they repost their query (if
current) to the new system. This sorted out the expired email addresses too.
I gave them over six weeks to repost, with several reminders along the way.
The switch was made in January, but still have the old query page on my hard
drive, just in case someone requests the text and contact info for an old
query they remember.
You could also have a #1 Query page and a #2 Query page for a while, but this
might be confusing. It seems to me, that asking them to repost is a small
request, and helps to sort out those that want to continue participating.
As time goes by and new queries are posted to the GenConnect page, the older
ones are archived. These archived queries are searchable and indexed in the
GenConnect system. As the page administrator, you have the ability (with a
password you choose) to delete any posting or email address from the
notification list.
