Dawn, Did you ever use CC-Helper? Will it do the same things, like
send
queries to the WIUSGenWeb Project??? Please advise. I want to make sure

just a small corner of our world, grin!
No I haven't. Not that I didn't want to when it arrived on the scene, but it
is a PC program and I have a Mac. Even though I have a PowerMac, I decided I
did not want to try and switch back and forth between PC and Mac platforms
every time I updated my website. Just too much hassle.
Not sure if when you say "will it do" above that you are referring to CC-
Helper or GenConnect. For the genweb queries, GenConnect creates a series of
pages which are automatically updated/indexed and searchable, with a link back
to your genweb county page. I have it tied directly into my county page. If
a surfer clicks on Dane Co. Query Page, they will be taken directly into the
GenConnect system. I hope this answers your questions.
Go check out my Dane Co. query site if you wish:

I can't emphasize enough how easy it is to start up a page with GenConnect.
The hardest thing I did was notifying all the current query post-ees that they
should repost their query (if current) to the new site. (Too many to move all
by myself!). They also offer other genealogical topics, such as obituary
boards.
