Hi Fellow USGenWeb Volunteers... Greetings from the Election
Committee. You should be receiving your Ballots shortly.
Our view of our current Voter list is that it is the best we
could pull together in a short time, it is not perfect.
Therefore there will be a one week period for anyone that
believes that they are an eligible voter and have been
missed by our efforts to contact us. There will probably be
special exceptions beyond that week, but please don't count
on that. Give your ballot a couple of days to arrive, if it
does not, please contact the following Volunteers for your
area on or before July 8th, please include your State and
County, and anything else that you think might help us sort
things out, such as your page or TOC URL. You should
receive a reply that we have received your request. If for
some reason, we do not believe that the request came from an
eligible voter, that person will be immediately notified of
our decision and a copy will be sent to the Board-Exec
List. The Board may overturn our decision at that point or
you may appeal through your Board Representative. We do not
envision this happening, but we want to be prepared. We are
eager to help you and make this the best election ever.

We as a Committee, believe in the "Will of the Volunteers".
That is our entire reason for working on this committee. We
have worked well together. We are proud that we were
allowed to do this. Now it is your turn. Check out the
Candidates, and then VOTE. It is not just your right, but
your responsibility.
Good luck to all of the Candidates, and to our Project,
USGenWeb. Do yourself and our Project Proud, VOTE.
Thanks from the Election Committee...

We still have a long way to go, but as Chairman of the
Elections Committee... I would like to thank Debbie Axtman
for jumping back in there to give me a hand. I'd also like
to think Jerimiah for being that lone Volunteer for awhile,
treading water all by himself. And then there is Ellen, who
said she would never do it again, but still came to our
rescue. I personally inadvertently made her job harder and
she still came through for you. Thank you Betsy, for
actually going out and asking if the Nomination Page was
current, it wasn't, you saved us a lot of embarrassment.
Thank you Yvonne for being there and being willing to do
whatever was necessary. Your work on that first day gave me
the first real hope that we could do this. And then there
is Tim Pierce, I would hope we could confer the title of
Honorary Member of USGenWeb on Tim. With permission of the
Committee I asked Tim to join us. He agreed and was an
invaluable member of our Committee, he knew what he could do
and couldn't do with the software etc. He was most
definitely a can do type guy with all of our requests. I
feel that this was a case of a Rootsweb staff member coming
fully to our aid realizing what some members of our Project
might think and still giving selflessly of his time and
expertise. I just picked out a few special things about
each one of these Volunteers. Each one of them spent
countless hours checking and sorting addresses and verifying
to the best of their ability eligible voters. I think them
all collectively for their dedication and hard work. You
should too. We do have one more Volunteer that hopefully I
will be able to accommodate with something to do as we begin
to chase bounces and add missing ballots, Richard Howland.
Thanks Richard for volunteering.
This is getting long, but there are two groups that I would
also like to thank. The SC list for jumping to our rescue
and resending missing voter lists and just being a general
help. And to the Board for allowing me to try and pull this
off, officially or unofficially, I'm not sure which at the
moment.
So here we are at your mercy, we would like the chance to
correct any mistakes that we may have made and serve you to
the best of our abilities. We are listening.
Once more the Committee says "Please Vote"
