I sent this to the e-mail address I found on the Jackson
Co. page, but for some reason it came back to me as
undeliverable/user unknown. So, I thought that the best
way to get this to the CC for Jackson Co. would be
through the list. Sorry for cluttering your mailboxes.
Sue

I received the attached note after some correspondence
about cemeteries in Jackson Co. Thought that you might
find it something valuable to add to the Jackson Co.
GenWeb page. I don't think I can put it on the
Tombstone Project page, but I am checking on it.

Hi Sue,
I contacted the Melrose, WI City Hall and was given the
name
of the woman who has the Cemetery records for Melrose
& all of
Jackson County.
She kindly volunteered to do a look-up for me, and will
give me
the results of her search Friday.
Her name is:
Elaine Johnson
205 2nd
Melrose, WI 54642
(608) 488-3791
Elaine is definitely a valuable resource for Genealogists
interested
in that area. Wonder if you could transcribe her records
for internet use.
Thanks for your advice,
Will Ted Smith
