Why doesn't rootsweb allow cgi scripts and can we change that policy or
is it a server issue?

Soooo on our County sites, a database CAN be there without it being in
a cgi script. All it is is a compilation of facts that is there for
the researcher to draw information from.
No fancy scripts,......just a gathering of specific
information.....cemetery lists, census, anything like that to aid the
researcher in their searching.
It can even be in the form of plain text.
I believe it was Jan that mentioned it.....she was criticized for not
having enough raw data.....as I've listed for examples on her site.
I hope I've explained this well enough....
