hmmmmm - glad to see that I am not the only one concerned about this. I questioned it
when I heard that the records were being typed up and put online. And said at the time I
would not be happy if I found mine online. Thankfully I was born in Michigan.
I agree that they should not be on USGW and on my sites - I try to tell people I don't
want births or marriages of living persons.
Leads me back to the State of Michigan, where I live. A lot of people are upset that
Michigan will not release any birth record until they are over 110 years old - other than
to that person, or direct proven lineage. This seems to be kind of harsh when looking at
it from the genealogy perspective - but - when looking at Texas - I must say there was
wisdom in those Michigan Officials.
