This sounds like a great presentation. If any of you go, can you ask what FLT
stands for (nope it is not Flight Lieutenant, although it could be in some
contexts...
We were searching for a bunch of symbols, and found all but that one...
Another strange one was MWR - Bet you can't even guess what that one was all
about. Modern Woodmen of America later renamed to Royal Neighbors of America.

Program looks at cemetery symbols
The Wisconsin Veterans Museum will host a lecture and slide
presentation, "Carved in Stone" on Thursday, Sept 28 from 7-8 pm in the
musuem's second floor education center. Bruce Gregg, retired Madison
Memorial High School teacher, will focus on cemetery symbols used by
stone carvers and momument companies beginning in the 1700's. Gregg
will also highlight traditional religious symbols, symbols borrowed from
art and literature, as well as symbls that highlight the deceased
personal interest or hobbies.
Admission for the lecture, "Carved in Stone" is free.
