Judy - that would really be helpful - However, if they are in YOUR county directory HTML,
and you have the passcode, you can go in and fix them - would you be willing to do
that???? If you don't have the password and are still willing, Tina can send it to
you - or I can if she gives permission (Grin)...
If not, and T is busy, I could go in and fix - but then we have to be careful not to
OVERWRITE them with the next person who updates them - Let me know T - I have some time on
my hands - and I know you are deservedly busy with family over the holidays.
I am going to do it for my counties as well - it appears that some of the pages are
working well and others not -hit and miss - sigh - this too shall pass -
If anyone else is finding problems, send URL directly to the WI Mailing List and we will
get them fixed . Just put ROOTSWEB ARCHIVES in subject line - that way we can sort for
them in the now down to 1200 emails left to finish reading and responding to.
THANKS to all in advance - R/S MAK

Subject: Re: [WIGEN] Question on links in Archives
Tina,
I have corrected the links to the archives on my county pages; when I visit
the corresponding counties in the archives and the tombstone photo pages...
the links back to my county pages are not correct! in many places they
still are the old rootsweb url's. In some places the WIGenWeb logo still
has the old rootsweb url. There are other very old broken links in the
archives pages going to non-existent rootsweb pages.
I am willing to go through and list all the pages with broken links to my 4
counties if this would assist with the correction process.

The Archive pages should already be corrected, it was part of the routine of
the move. What will need to be updated are links on our county and state
pages that point to the archives. Did I answer your question?

Tina,
Is someone going to check for and correct all the urls in the archives?
Or are we suppose to check our counties in the archives to let you know
the pages that need updated links?
Judy
