Anne,
Back some 15 years ago when I first started my family
research, I came up with a form that I sent to Aunts, Uncles, and
cousins, that I knew I had, but hadn't seen in years. Explained what
I wanted to do, etc. Anyway, One thing I asked if they had any
family traditions, memories, stories, etc. that they would like to
share to please share away. Of all things, that was the hit. The
stories, both good and not so good, the traditions and memories was
just awesome in response.
Just thought I would toss my 2 cents in as well,

Good morning,
Every now and again I wake up with a great brainstorm idea... this
morning's one is actually a REALLY GOOD ONE -- I still think it's
good and it's 11
o'clock already...
What I want to do is send a generic, fill in the blank questionnaire out to
the cousins and ask them to fill it in to the best of their knowledge -- the
info will then be used to make a book(let) on my grandparents and their
children (the cousin's folks)... I'll ask them to include xerox
photos, recipes,
etc... but what I'm looking for is a standard questionnaire that I
can tweak to
fit the group...
Anyone have one? used one? anyone have success with this? I don't plan on
this being an all-consuming project... just compiling the data and
maybe take
it to Kinkos and have it assembled, etc.
Thanks,
Anne
