Hello List Members-
It has been some time since I emailed the list, so thought I would take a
few minutes to do so.
If you haven't stopped by the Waupaca site in awhile I think you might find
the new additions helpful. Many cemetery transcriptions have been added,
along with many headstone photos. I want to mention a couple of projects
that are on going that each of you may want to take part in.
The Cemetery Project is an ongoing project. This project is a huge
undertaking and needs you to help. Once all cemetery transcriptions are
on-line(which will be in the next few weeks) I will be trying to obtain a
photo of each headstone and an obituary for each person in each cemetery. As
I said previously this is a hugh project and you can help! If you have
headstone photos or obituaries and would like to share them with the other
Waupaca area, please email me directly pajolova(a)hotmail.com for any
questions you might have.
There are now 4700+ headstone photos on-line and I am presently working on
many more to go on-line. Thanks to Cindy Bohn the Oakwood Cemetery in
Weyauwega, WI will soon be on-line and she has taken photos of the 4000+
headstones there. Carl Much has submitted several cemetery maps and is
presently working on the Lakeside Cemetery in Waupaca. Mary Rahr, Delores
Miller and Russell Miller have been a big help in completing many of the
cemetery transcriptions. Many others have helped along the way including
Carmen Scott, Kermit Peterson, etc. etc. Please forgive me for not naming
everyone, but a list of submitters can be seen at

You can find the cemetery transcriptions, maps, histories and headstone
photos from the following link

I want to mention one more project that will begin in the future. This
project will be to index the land owners on the plat maps currently
available on the website. This index be a great help to researchers in
finding their families on these maps.
If you would like more information, want to submit items or would like to
volunteer with one of these projects, please email any time!

Good luck in your research!
