Hi All,
I am also removing her from my site.
Terri posted on the Manitowoc County board on May 2.
Hello All-
I belong to several genealogy lists and I have been asked to do go out to
cemeteries in the area and photograph headstones, markers ect. In the past
month I have been out to the same cemetery 9 times in the past few months,
I have been to over 30 cemeteries- I have been thinking over the idea of
just
taking my digitial camera out and photgraphing every headstone I come
acrost. I have also been thinking about joining in with achiving of some of
these
cemeteries in the Manitowoc County - Calumet County Area.
I feel this will be a benifit to those doing research- with the
possiablity that I will already have the photo ready to e-mail back out- and
that this could very
well preserve these headstones for future researchers. Not only that-
possiably save on my time and gas.
I now ask that anyone who knows of a out of the way cemetry plot, small
cemetery, headstone, marker, anything that may have historicial value to
genealogy reseachers ect contact me with precise directions, and details
so I may go and photgraph and create a referance point for future family
historians.
I will be offering these photo's at NO charge to anyone who is in need of
them. I do plan on creating a website with a searchable data base for these
photographs, as soon as weather permits.
Please e-mail me with any information you may have-
Thank you for your time
Terri
I emailed her and told her that I would be willing to help out with the
website if she wanted the help. She was more than thrilled at the thought.
We agreed I would do the site anyway I pleased, and she would continue to
photograph (for free).
She told me she was interested in Calumet county as well, so I asked her to
email Deb to see if she wanted any help.
I didn't hear from her again until I noticed from her website that she had
photographed a Manitowoc County cem, but didn't let me know the photos were
ready.
It took me a bit to get the photos from her (she forgot she had done it),
but eventually she sent them all to me for inclusion on the site. As I was
getting them ready to put online, she told me how she wanted her entry
written for the credit and agreed to put a reciprocal link to our site on
hers. (although the new site doesnt have any such links).
I emailed her, let her know the pictures were done and online and haven't
heard from her until today.
I do not know how legitimate her cause is, but I do know from talking to
Deb, she has numberous stories depending on who she talks to.
I recommend not sending her any money or linking to her site.
Just my 2cents,
Ellen-

Hi All,
I am behind in e-mail, but after reading things thought I should update
all of you a little bit. Terri Lee started out photographing old cemeteries
in Calumet county. I am not sure what happened, but after receiving only a
couple of cemeteries, she wrote and stated that her husband was demanding
payment for this now. I refused to pay for a picture of a cemetery stone
for my website, so I left it at that. She then became involved in
attempting to get one of Calumet's old family cemeteries cared for by the
township. It was on a farmers land and he could have cared less, removing
any stones that were fallen over and heaping them behind the barn.
Anyway, I also received the same letter that was referred to here and
since decided to remove her from my website. She had volunteered initially
to do this for the preservation of the stones and the history, now I am not
sure what is happening anymore, but I am not going to tell my researchers
to pay for this.
