I am going to throw a little curve ball into this discussion.....
please bear with me...
I feel that sometimes, people get frustrated and have no outlet for
their frustration. For USGenWeb county coordinators and others, it is
hard to understand the full structure sometimes.
I know that I often get frustrated with a lack of volunteers, etc etc.
for my own county
But...........
LETS TAKE THIS TO ANOTHER LEVEL.
Sometimes, a pat on the back goes a long way toward boosting the
enthusiam of someone, as well as letting them know that we appreciate
all of their hard work.
So.........
I am throwing this out, purely for discussion.........
I think that Wisconsin should have a committee (don't groan, I heard
you) to recognize and award those counties that have really done a great
job on their website.
Too many of us (me included) sometimes feel that our work is not
appreciated, and that is disheartening sometimes, and colors our thought
process.
My idea is that this should be given out perhap only yearly, and that
has two advantages......it won't be so time consuming for the committee
to look at sites etc etc, and it would make the award highly valued,
coveted, and so on!
Now, I know you all groaned when I mentioned another committee, but this
is just for this list. And I just want other feedback on this.
What do you all think?????
