My deepest and most heartfelt condolences are extended to Joan Benner,
coordinator for Adams and Marquette Counties, and her family. Joan informed
me today of the loss of her mom.
Joan writes:
"Our prayers were answered this morning, mom made a permanent change of
address this morning around 7am, passing on in her sleep. I found her yet
breathing and made sure she was comfortable at 5:45, stroked her hair and
spoke with her even if she couldn't answer me. At 7:30 when I checked again
she was gone.just like her to not want to pass on in front of anyone and
cause them more sorrow.
We met our goal, she died in her sleep here in our home and not in a
nursing home-couldn't have done this journey without hospice and help from
friends (including the keyboard kind)."

Coordinator of Waukesha and Manitowoc Counties
