I transferred everything from my index page to a new page and added a

The requested URL /~wiforest/Carter%20Marriages.html was not found on this

What does the 20% mean?
This happens when you have a space in your file name... the name of this
page is Carter Marriages.html and spaces like this cause inconsistent
problems in viewing. Always use *one word* filenames such as
cartermarraiges.html for files. Using all lower case can be handy as well
to avoid case sensitivity problems with the server.
Also, When uploading I get a prompt asking me which index file I would
like
to use. I didn't know I had more than one.
You probably have a backup file such as index.bak or some such name.
