Thanks so much, Michelle! Manwaehring or somesuch was a Wisconsin name where
I grew up near West Bend and then Milwaukee, and I so much appreciate this
tale of family history. Goes to prove that you should never be moving on
till the right tides turn, and that the news of genealogy is ongoing,

Subject: [WIGEN-L] Very cool genealogy story!!!!!!!
This has nothing to do with Wisconsin, but it is a really cool
genealogy
story.
This story proves that one should always keep eyes open for your
surnames... you never know when you will "get lucky" in genealogy! Read
on...
I am a Stampin' Up! demonstrator when I am not doing genealoy. I am
also on an online demonstrator club. On that email list another demo
said that one of her customers was at a workshop and the demo brought in
the new scrapbooking catalog. The cover of the catalog has a photo of a
vintage scrapbook page layout all done up pretty with Stampin' Up!
products.
Well...... I turns out that this customer of hers noticed that on the
scrapbook page in the photo was the surname MANWARING. She was surprised
because her family name is Manwaring.... then she looked closer at the
photo....wait... She owns that vintage photo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW!
So... the demonstrator just called Stampin' Up yesterday to see if
another demonstrator designed the page or if a company employee designed
the page so that she could contact them and share info! The company
located the designer of the page and they are in contact!
I guess this customer ordered a bunch of copies of the scrapbook catalog
to hand out to her family members!
Little did she know she would find a branch of her family tree at a
rubber stampin' demonstration!!!!!!
Well, I hope this story brightens everyones day. Success stories like
this always amaze me!
