Annette,
Nope, shouldn't be because you can't copyright a name, date,
etc. You can copyright the format or say if the books has notations
about the stone, you can't use that, but names can't be copyrighted.

Hi everybody--
I have a question about copying cemetery records. Someone has sent me
written images for a cemetery in Vernon County, which I am transcribing,
and there are quite a few that are illegible, now the thing is she also
has copies from a book (which I told her not to send, copyright issues).
The question that I have is would there be a problem if she sent me
the book copies so that I can figure out the illegible ones? Would
there be a copyright issue there?
Thanks
Annette
