I have received several requests for genealogy help from other
countries, please see them pasted below. They are not specific to
Oconto County. These folks have reached out, give them a hand if you
are able to help. I have written them to say that they may be
receiving mail with suggestions and help from other researchers.
Don't be shy. PLEASE answer them directly at their addresses. Thank
you for your consideration. Rita - Oconto County Site

Hi
I was looking at your web page and found a notice about the Spanish
American war, where you listed a person by the name Chris Nelson, he
was
a private. I was wondering if you had any other information about
this
person. I have been looking for my G Grandfather, who immigrated to
Colorado, but I have not been able to locate him yet. We know that
he
was in the Spanish American war from a letter written to his Mom in
Denmark in 1898. In this letter he states that he has just returned
from
the war and that he was stationed in Cuba. I know it is a long shot
and
that there probably are more then one Chris Nelson who was in the
Spanish American war. If you do not have the time to respond to
this
email, I will understand.

I am researching the Longdo family and am wondering if you came
across the ancestry of Joseph b 1804, married to Judith Boisvert.I
read that they had a daughter, Philomene which I did not find on the
1850 Census of Brown Co. with the rest of their family.
I know that Joseph had a brother, Antoine b 1805 in Wolf Creek,
Quebec who married into the Champeau/Champoux from
Canada. This family settled in Door Co.
I seem to hit a brick wall when trying to find their ancestry.
Would appreciated any help you can give me.
Thank You,
Jean(Longdo) Donally
