and it works fantastic! I have
some sites with over 1400 links and it verified them within about 15 minutes
each.
Will make my work much, much easier!

Subject: [WIGEN-L] Broken Links Programs Summary
I promised several to summarize and post the results of my request
for
programs/services to find broken site links. These are the ones from the
tri-county list that have not been posted on this list yet. They are
good ones:
*For testing the current validity of links, I use the Single Page
Analysis of Doctor HTML (
http://www2.imagiware.com/RxHTML/ ). The
"full program" costs several hundred dollars, but the single page
analysis is still free. It only works on pages less than about 80K in
size (I have been known to temporarily break up pages to get within
this limit). The only option I use at present is "Verify Hyperlinks."
You may find this tool a bit arcane, and it will generate false
positives (i.e., it will occasionally state that some link is bad when
the problem is only temporary). But all-in-all, I find it quite useful.
There are other programs of this sort "out there," including some free
ones, but this is the only one I have used much. Good luck! Rollie

Free download and use of system, Very Nice - This one will do the whole
site, including e-mail links, and sends you a nifty e-mail report that
gives you the broken links in several different ways so you can chose
the easiest to understand and use in making corrections. Also give some
interesting statistics about your site. Simple to use, runs fast,
excellent results.
