Very interesting! The boy might have been stolen by Indians...but I grew up in WI and my
mom used to tell me stories about the Gypsies that traveled the area when she was a kid
(1920's) and everyone was afraid of them because they allegedly stole little kids and
young women. Or the child may have been stolen by an absent parent.
