MAK,
Thanks for the information. I've seen some of the Wisconsin census and death data,
but where did you find the German source data?

Also, you could use August or Ludwig to research for a possible family connection - his

1) Give your name and county(s), and the year you joined USGenWeb WIGenWeb
Clare Guse, cc for Dodge County. I think I started in 1996, have lost track exactly
when.
http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~widodge/
2) Tell one thing about yourself that the rest of us would probably not
know, not related to genealogy.
I finished a 10K run this spring, a distance I haven't run in years.
Contemplating a triathlon in August...
3) What is the newest thing you did for your county(s) - URL of new page,
URL of update page, query?
Unfortunately the most recent things have been maintenance types of things... updating
email addresses, adding new surnames to the surnames page, replacing my broken search
engine. I have things to add, but it all needs to be typed up when I have time. I'm
sure many of you have the same issue!
4) What states/counties are you doing your personal genealogy research in?
Wisconsin - Dodge county mostly, though some branches have turned up in other counties
Germany - Pommerania, Bavaria, Alsace-Lorraine
Poland
5) What is the name of your Ancestor who is the biggest brick wall; keep in
mind, we are all adept researchers, so the more details, the more help you
might get.
Unfortunately there are several brick walls but I'll only mention two :
Franz Guse, supposedly came from Prussia in 1848. I've been unable to find anything
to corroborate this or find any other family/siblings.
Karl Gruber, born about 1825 somewhere in Germany. Haven't been able to track down
any family for him either, nor location he came from.
