I haven’t seen any chatter on this list in a long time.
I thought I’d share a recent experience.
I’ve managed the Grant County page since 1997. I keep an obituary index
for recent obits, and full-text obits of those older than 75 years. I’ve
always had a note on my home page to submit family obituaries for inclusion.
Years ago, people used to send the old ones to me. With the advent of the
internet, I guess they find other places to post them or maybe my page has
become irrelevant.
The other day, I got an email with a Word doc attached. The subject line
was “here are my Edwards family obituaries.”
There are 95 pages in that Word doc.
95!
Thank goodness for copy and paste. But it will still take me a long time
to go through that. And I’m not getting any younger. LOL
