Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
I got an email today asking me what I know about a grave (he attached
a photo). At first I just laughed because of the way he worded his
request: "What might you be able to tell me in detail about this
grave." As if I know everything about my county LOL. I know you've all
been there.
But then I actually read the inscription on the stone and now my
curiosity is piqued:
"Charlie Ross 1870-1882 Stolen in 1874 Rescued by John A. Harford 1879"
This young man is buried in the Harford family plot.
Wow, this sounds like a mystery worthy of a TV show. Have you ever
seen such a thing?
