Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Hi - was just thinking - When I went to the new site for Wisconsin at: http://www.wigenweb.org/
A ton of the county links are not working - Can we please do the following to help out Tina?
1) Change the following on your main pages (if you haven't done so already)
SC - Tina Vickery tsvickery(a)gmail.com
ASC - Marcia Ann Kuehl maktranscriber(a)yahoo.com
2) Check your county links at http://www.wigenweb.org/counties.html to see if it is working
3) Change your links to WiGenWeb to http://www.wigenweb.org/
4) Change your MAST from generic to USGenWeb (if you are staying on USGenWeb) -
5) Send an email with WI ROLL CALL and updates in the subject line to the mailing list and
a. Let us know you are alive and well
b. Give the URL for your counties if they have changed.
c. Let us know if your link on the new web page is broken or if you found any other links on the site that are broken - many eyes will be helpful.
d. And share anything that is new in your county
I know life is chaotic for many - so please do it as you can and get back to us. It will be helpful when I do quarterly updates for the EC later this month. Thanks in advance - I too need to do the above (smile).

HI to all of you who survived the weather out in Wisconsin and the mid-west - WOW, that is the worst I have heard in years!!! My alma mater was Oshkosh, so Fond du Lac was near and dear to me - I just loved the lake drive from Oshkosh to Fond du Lac and went for Chinese often there. I hope it survived.
I am here in Southern California trying to survive the intense heat wave and praying the fires don't start up again!!! Much of north Orange County was without electricity earlier in the week and in 3 digit heat - that is really bad for us. Camp Pendleton was on fire on Friday when I came home from San Diego and the smell of smoke was heavy in the air -
On a personal note - I have been down on my health since the first of the year and while I am getting better, I have really bad spots - so if you sent an email directly to me and I haven't answered it is because I am behind a couple thousand in this account - I just cleaned up my other two accounts and am caught up - so this one is next in line.
Take care and chat when you can so we know you are OK!!!

Subject: [WIGEN] checking in
Hi everyone,
I'm just checking in! Hope the local Wisconsonites like me, have weathered
the severe weather.
For you county co-ords who don't live in Wisconsin, we need some cheering
up. We got deluged with water in the middle of some tornado storms, that
stalled right over us. Get this....I'm in the basement of my house last
Thursday because the tornado sirens keep going off, the tv screen shows a
line of storms with what looks like 8-10 possible tornados in it, and while
I'm sheltering from the storm, the rain just pours down, my pump couldn't
keep up, and the water starts to come in to my basement. I run to save
anything on the floor, but well, ......anyways, do I wait and hope I don't
drown, or go upstairs and get blown away.
Decisions, decisions!
Fond du Lac was declared a disaster area. The post office flooded, and had
to move their operations to the fairgrounds.
And we are not the only place. I would guess almost the entire southern
half of the state is still battling rivers and streams that are overflowing
their banks.
I ended up with 10 inches of water and sewage in my basement, so the work is
just starting for me.
Wisconsin isn't doing so hot right now, weather wise.
So the county co-ord's who don't live here, need to keep the chatter going.
weary and tired of washing and rinsing and bleaching and washing and rinsing
and bleaching and washing and rinsing and bleaching.................
