Who do I contact?
by Scott and Roxanne Munns
This is a little beyond Wisconsin, but maybe someone can tell me who to talk
to...
My husband was sent to France on business, and I said "You're not going
without me!" Unfortunately, neither of us has French ancestors :-(. The
trip was put together with about 2 weeks, so there was no time to prepare
much for genealogy, anyway...
While my husband was working, I did visit an American Cemetery - a cemetery
for servicemen who died in that part of France during World War II. I took
a few pictures of tombstones (it was freezing!). I'd like to donate them to
a site, but have no idea where to start... The French WorldGenWeb site is
all in French, and I really don't speak much French and read almost none.
There is a website by the American Battles Monuments Commission (HYPERLINK
"http://www.abmc.gov/cemeteries/cemeteries/ep.php"http://www.abmc.gov/cemete
ries/cemeteries/ep.php), but they don't seem to have a place to donate
pictures.
Does anyone have any idea where I should go?
Thanks,
Roxanne
