Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
I will forward this on - so that others in the local
area have more information - thank you very much.
Please send updates as you find them. R/S MAK
We don't have a website that belongs to the Museum. I
had written to the Outlawwomen/Wild Bunch site a long
time ago.
This is a address for the Wild Rose Times description
of the robbery
http://www.1wisconsin.com/wildrose/History/robber.htm
We are still at the organizing of who wants to be part
of the event. What we plan to do is have
various scenes which will be at scheduled times on
July 16th. Some of the ones under consideration will
be the robbers come in on the train. Another they
arrange to spent the night in the village marshal's
barn. The Robbery itself which includes four separate
buildings. The walk out of town. The small group
following them. The real posse leaving town. The
shoot out and
capture. There will not be much speaking unless we
have a narrator for some of the scenes. The Pinkerton
man identified the Rambler.
We will have two more meetings of the Society before
July 16th so we will be finalizing plans.
I will have the Leavenworth prison records for the two
robbers that served time soon.
I hope that this helps and I will send an update.

Debbie,
Two things.....
Are you sure that you have moved (uploaded) the graphic to the server??
I don't use front page, so don't know if it has a special way of showing
JPG's or not. A general run-of-the-mill should show up...
Welllllll
Now I see that you are saying Print Shop Pro....
Is that what you mean, or do you mean Paint Shop Pro.
Some print programs have their own way of displaying graphics. For
instance, just PSP Paint Shop Pro will save in a psp or pspimage.....which
will enable the graphic to be viewed ONLY in PSP.
But, looking at the source, I don't see that happening, so if you are
looking at it in Print Shop Pro, maybe you don't have the program set to
have JPG/JPEG/JFIF files viewed with it.

Lori,
I just popped online and read your email -- it truly sounds like your plate
is full. I know exactly how you feel about telling people. etc. about your
health. I have fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue and the list goes on... and
there have been MONTHS that I thought I would never get back into the swing of
things and do Shawano like I wanted to... but then, you get a energy spurt or a
GOOD VOLUNTEER that gets you over a rough spot... no, I don't update like I
used to... but I haven't heard a complaint yet... I do what I can and when I
can and the researchers appreciate every bit. Once when I hadn't been
"active" for a few weeks, a Shawano patron wrote and asked me if I was still alive,
seriously ..LOL.. I don't know who answers dead email...
Personally, the Shawano site is my "getaway" -- when I get a chance, I work
on it -- even if it is only 10 lines at a time... it adds up at the end of a
month... without it, I probably won't touch genealogy again -- my life was
genealogy, teaching and doing classes, seminars, etc. And now about all I can
do some days is get the dog outside and chow in his dish.. so Shawano GenWeb
keeps me going...
Lori, hang in... I'd say it has to get better but I can't say that from
personal knowledge -- I just work for a plateau level where I can keep where I am
at and not lose ground... but honestly, you do eventually lose ground... and
the hardest lesson for me to learn personally is to ASK for help... I was
the one who was the care-giver and fixed everyone's problems.. asking for help
is a hard one, but I've found the people in the Shawano site do pick up the
slack -- maybe not the way I would do it or the style or flair, but they help
and THAT'S A GOOD THING!!! Good for them and good for me...
Hugs!
Anne

Gimpy was a canary whose momma sat on him long after he'd hatched, making
him splayed-legged and crippled. The cat, Remo, was named after a movie
character, Remo Williams, who was named after a bedpan maker. Both are
deceased now. Please revisit and refresh for the updated version of my
pets (cats now Hershey and Hampton, named by the shelter I got them from).
I'm a big Hitchcock (and all other horror/suspense movie) fan. GenWeb and
campy horror movies are my life's blood - can't live without either.
Tina, you're a doll. We're lucky to have you!

The second link didn't work at first because I forgot to upload the revised
page... we'll just blame this on my being a fruit and let it go at
that! <grin>
Lori in Rock
Recent additions include dozens more biographies and tombstone photos
(bringing the total to 2,139 bios and 3,135 tombstones). Also am nearly
finished with the list of Rock County veterans from the Civil War (whew!).
I do not know how to handle the rest of this e-mail without sounding as if
I'm looking for pity or a way out of doing the Rock County GenWeb site
(neither of which is the case), so please bear with me...
I was recently diagnosed with, and hit hard by, multiple sclerosis. It's a
fun addition to my already being bipolar schizophrenic. My first reaction
(to all of these ailments) was to hide them from my fellow coordinators and
from the public. Upon reflection, I realized this was not the appropriate
thing to do, mostly because I feel I'm proof that no matter what life
slings at you, you can still go on with your head held high, doing good for
the world.
I don't know how long I'll be able to continue doing the Rock County site
but intend to do so as long as I am physically and mentally capable.
Please see...
<http://freepages.misc.rootsweb.com/~wirockbios/Lori.html>
... and please don't miss the link to the second page...

You are all the best group of people to be affiliated with and I'm honored
to be a part of the Wisconsin clan. Thanks a million...
