Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

Ah....well I'm in IA....a transplanted cheesehead!! First time away from
home and family we moved here.....300 miles away! Thought I'd come to the
end of the world! Went from Madison, a town of considerable numbers, to a
big city of 3500! (sigh)

I opt for that too most of the time, Mari! LOL
I always forget where people are.
Then you have folks like me that are spread around. Most of my genealogy
'stuff' is in ND, I live in Delaware, but was raised in Michigan and still
consider myself a Michigander. :-)

Please check out the NEW Vesper cemetery
transcriptions with photos provided graciously by Joan
M Benner of Golden Rule Genealogy...
http://www.rootsweb.com/~wiwood/history/photos/cemetery/V-trinity.html
My appologies that this didn't get done sooner - Joan
submitted them last year - and I put them on-line (or
so I thought - frown) and went on to the next group of
projects.
When Joan recently asked me when I was going to post
them, my first reaction was they were lost when my
computer died - much to my surprise I found them
on-line in a directory but not linked to the Vesper
cemetery page - and also found numerous WoodCoWI
cemetery pages delinked - apparently, I was in the
process of updating when the computer went down and
never got back to it - Lesson Learned - make a list of
what you are going to do and cross out as you do it...
Then you will not run the risk of delinking - and not
relinking as I did (hanging head in shame).
If you find any other pages broken please let me know
immediately so I can "find" and "fix" them - thanks.
Giving me the URL of the page where the break occurs
would be most appreciated...
Again, sorry Joan for the long delay in posting...
and thank you so much for all your hard work on many
of the WIGenWeb county pages - We all appreciate it
and benefit from it...

This was sent to the Bayfield list, but it is all inclusive for the state of
WI, in case others would like to take a look and link.
