Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
I received the same letter, but know nothing of it's source. They seem to want everyone to send in all
their research but not very specific about just how this information will be handled and "shared". I
did not go to their addresses as I do not want to be put on any mailing lists because of my response.

I searched for bar-aire, and only the e-mail address came up. As of today,
bar-aire's mailbox has been full for 52 days. I do get notices once in a while
from someone else's box being full, but I just ignore them. 52 days . . .
sheesh. Of course, I have no way to contact this person since the box is full

First of all thank you Michelle for your kind words, I appreciate them.
When I think about WIGenWeb, and the work that we all do, I think to myself
that I really don't do much.. You all have! As State Coordinator, I have
watched, prodded <at times>, supported, applauded, helped, cried with,
cheered with... and perhaps had a discussion or two with... each of you <VBG>
.
You know what, that makes us.. a team! That is a good thing.
It will be two years in October that I have been State Coordinator, and of
everything that I have done within the USGenWeb Project, WIGenWeb is perhaps
what I am most proud of. Not because of my talents, but because of each of
you. Your ability to work together .. with each other, with volunteers and
visitors. You all are what make WIGenWeb Project ~ Genealogy at it's Best..

Another question occurred to me regarding your statement above. Why would
you unsub someone from a list because their inbox is overflowing?
Usually they will pick it up in a day or two and the messages will cease.

Did you do a search for 'bar-aire' only on your list? If so, that would
show any/all subscriptions to your list under that user ID no matter the
provider.
MSN sometimes adds email.msn.com to addresses and sometimes jst msn.com.
What method it uses to determine when and to what address to do it to, I don't
know. I'm not sure about hotmail other than to say I've only seen it as
hotmail.com
without the msn in it.
I don't know if this helps or not - but thats what comes to mind.

Hi Lori,
The bar-aire(a)hotmail.com and the bar-aire(a)email.com is indeed the
same person. You can have a couple of ways from what I can tell. Like mine
can be excel.net or mail.excel.net. I don't know why or how they can do
this, but you can remove the other one and find it to be the same person.

longer interested in keeping it. He has offered to sell the registration to
