It's Miranda Bell (Taylor) Guthrie, not Minerva. Sorry and Thanks.

My husband and I ventured from our home near Dayton today to
Connersville,
where his elusive grandfather was from. We were going to take 27 south but
somehow my husband didn't read my mind and take that exit so we meandered
down Indiana Route 1 toward Connersville.
We saw Valley Grove Cemetery (which is in Wayne County) and decided to take
a look. I told my husband about how that if you call a person's name at a
cemetery that you usually can find it. He scoffed that. Well, we found what
I am 99 percent positive was his great-grandmother and great-great
grandparents. Considering we have virtually nothing on the Guthries or
Taylors, this was a major accomplishment.
Here are the inscriptions and I would appreciate hearing from anyone with
information on these families.
Thornton Taylor (1832-1914), his wife Rebecca (1840-1936), daughter
Gertrude Taylor (1873-1892) and daughter Minerva Bell Guthrie (1871-1930)
who was the wife of William Guthrie of Connersville.
Minerva Bell was apparently known as "Belle" and there are seven Guthrie
children listed. They are
Robert, Martha, Mary, William Horace, Monroe, Paul and Clara.
Oddly, there was a small stone at the base of her headstone that said
"Mother of Paul E. Guthrie." My husband's grandfather was William Horace,
who was definitely a mystery man. My father-in-law knew nothing of his
father's family nor that his grandmother was living until he was 10 and his
great-grandmother till he was 16! I bet they didn't even know about him!
Many unanswered questions. I wonder where Minerva Bell Taylor Guthrie's
husband is buried?
