Don,
I called the Bookmark to get a copy of the history of Wayne Co.
today. The lady I talked to (and I am sorry I did not get her
name) was very nice and helpful, and is very knowledgable in the
books and recources they have. The 1872 History was only $22.
They were out of the 1884 one. Also got a couple of Land Owner
Atlas's for Wayne Co.
If anyone is looking for good books the Bookmark will be a great
source to start with.
Give them a call and hear a friendly and helpful voice.
Cheers,
Noel Matthews

Hi Mike
The Bookmark in Knightstown, IN should still have copies of Wayne Co
History and they also have Land owner Atlas's for different counties and
dates very reasonably priced. The Antique Weekly has some genealogy and
books advertised for sale by Antique dealers, and Mr Mayhill is a Quaker
descendant and has reprinted a few hundred books on Indiana genealogy,
the Bookmark is one of his business's around the corner from the
publishing office. I've found more genealogy books from them that are
used and that cover the Indiana area than any other source the last 25
years. Call 1-800-876-5133 and ask for the bookmark. Turns out many
estate book collections end up with antique dealers, and this is the
best source I've found so far. They also have Cemetery record books for
Henry
Co. I don't know if Beverly Younts Wayne County Cemetery books are
still available. I ordered them from Beverly back in the 1970's. The
best set of books on Cemetery records I've ever seen. She seemed to know
who many of the families were, and added all those little extra notes
that you wouldn't expect. My ancestors were in the Cambridge City and
Dublin, area.
