Hi,
I am trying to get information on my Great-Great Grandfather and namesake,
JohnK Wright. I know the Wright
Brothers were from this same area and wanted to know if you had any other
information on him, his family or relatives.
He was born 29 Dec 1834 in Wayne County, Indiana. His parents were William
Wright (born May 13, 1788 in
Caroline County, Maryland) and Elizabeth Justice (born in New Jersey and
died in 1846). He had 2 other siblings; Benjamin and Mary.
He died 14 Jan 1904 in Junction City, Geary, Kansas.
JohnK Wright served in the Kansas House of Representatives from 1870 & 1876.
Also served in 1868. from the Seventy-first Rep. District, the Count of
Davis. He was elected to serve as a temporary Clerk in the
House. He was a Miner.
