It has often been said that the best source is often
your own older notes. I do believe that and often find
things in my old papers that didn't ring any bells
back when I first got them but now that my picture is
bigger things now jump out and make sense.
I was looking through some older notes yesterday and
I found a sheet that was one page of a transcription
of the cemetery at the Lutheran Church at German Town,
Wayne County. I have been there a number of times and
found much of my wife's father's family there but have
never found anyone around that could tell me anything
about any cemetery records. Since I have a copy of
that one page that should mean there is a full copy
some where... :-) The copy of that page was kindly
given to us by a cousin of my wife. We just saw her
yesterday at a family funeral calling at Cambridge
City but I didn't run across the copy again until last
night. I was wondering if anyone here was familiar
with that document and where it can be located. I
don't have her cousin's phone number but if I have to
I can track it down somehow. I just thought I might
find even more information here.
BTW, the family burial today was at the Nettle Creek
COB (Brick) church (Hagerstown).
You know, I would about kill to be an organized
person. Or at least have a bit of my memory back...
;-)
A conclusion is simply the place where you got tired
of thinking.
