I have no idea except to say Elcy Johnson White is buried in NY. Johnson's
buried next to the White's are:
Nathaniel O. b. 1819 -1895
Mary A. b. 1819 - 1918
Frank M 1853 - 1875
Chester M. 1855 - 1880
Harry T. 1860 - 1913
Kate Seata June d. 1944 (has a true friend and faithful servant on her
stone)

Hummm, did any of your Johnsons come from North or South Carolina?
Or through VA to the Carolinas and then through to Indiana? None of
these names sound familiar.
See below:
My John Johnston was married in St Peter's Parish,. New Kent county,
Virginia to Lucretia Massey He was born in 1675 in St Nicholas Parish,
Aberdeen, Scotland and died in Hanover, VA
John 's son was James b. 1707, and died in Louisa, Va
James' son was Charles correct date not found yet. But born in St.
Peter's Parish, New Kent Co. Va, md Sarah Crew.
Charles' son James b. 1763 married [1] Ruth Mills --my line, and [2]
Miriam Jones md 1803
James' son Charles b. 1787 married [1] Mary Comer -my line and [2]
Nancy Beeson
Charles and Ruth had Caleb, Martha, Betsey, Prudence and Mary. We
feel certain that Mary died in child birth as her death date is the
same
as little Mary's birth date. I think Mary died with her.
Betsey Johnson was my line and she married out of unity and married
Enoch Marshall Johnson and lived her life in New Paris, Preble, Ohio
Her daughter,
Ethelinda married Isaac Duncan Bennett and was my great
grandmother.
Her daughter Cora Rachel Armitta Bennett was my grandmother who married
Jacob Charles Werts
His oldest living son, Charles Jacob Wirts [spelling something else]
was my father.
I remain here in Eastern Indiana, near Ohio state line.
