Hi Kim,
I noticed that the online library site has changed. Heritage Quest doesn't
seem to be accessible the same way it was before.
Do you know of a way we can still use this?
**No I don't.**
I really envy you - in addition to Heritage Quest, your library offers
access to Ancestry, too!
**Anchorage is a city of about 260,00 people, so we have a population base
large enough to support it's usage/necessity that smaller cities/towns don't
have. In fact, ours may be the only city library in Alaska that does have
it. It's only been the past couple of years we've had it-since we got
computers & a new library. The old one just couldn't handle the stress.
If you have a local Mormon chapel, they would know where their local Family
History Center is. Those places have (or SHOULD have) access to ancestry on
line from computers at their centers. You should be able to find a local
chapel in the white pages of your local phone book or here -
www.mormon.org.
These centers are open to all members of the public regardless of religious
affiliations.**
In my city, the library doesn't offer anything genealogy related. I even
wrote a letter suggesting they consider this [on two different occasions],
but all they do is send a thankyou for the suggestion and then don't make
any effort to do anything.
Thanks -Kay, FL

I know this is the sales site but maybe they know who can help you.
Maybe if HQ contacted your library, they may sing a different tune & be
willing to do something. Just a thought. Kim.

I access Heritage Quest from my local library's on-line site. It's free.
For anyone who would like to look at the census on Heritage Quest and can't
go through their local library, you may access it by the link below. Click
on the yellow Heritage Quest link and input barcode
