Dear Clay,
Here are the facts that I found:
Joseph and Eliza Starr were living in Richmond, Wayne County, IN in 1880
census. He was 53 and she was 50. He was born in Indiana and his father and
mother were born in PA and NJ, respectively. Eliza was born in Ohio, as were
both of her parents. Joseph and Eliza were both listed as lumber merchants.
Their children were: Elizabeth, age 14, born in IN; Lillie, age 12, born in
IN; George, age 5, born in IN; and William, age 2, born in IN.
Charles E. Burr was listed in the 1880 census with his wife, Sophia, in
Sharon, Franklin County, Ohio. Charles is 77 and Sophia is 71. Charles and
his parents were born in Connecticut. Sophia was born in Ohio and her parents
were born in CT. Their daughter, Fredonia Case, and her daughter, Mary Case,
were living with them. Fredonia was 50 and a teacher. Mary was 26 and a
teacher.
There is another Charles E. Burr (definitely their son) living in Columbus,
Franklin County, Ohio in 1880 census. He is 35 years. His wife, Elizabeth, is
30 years.
Elizabeth and her parents were all born in VT. Charles is listed as a lawyer.
Their children are: Emily, age 5; Carl, age 3; and Eugene, age 1.
Hope this helps!
