Earlham cemetery has a copy; the Morrisson-Reeves Library has a copy (in
Richmond). You might be able to get it on inter-library loan.

Where can I find Beverly Yount's book, "Tombstone Transcriptions of Wayne
Counry"? Is it available for purchase? I was born and raised in Wayne
County, but have not lived there since 1956. However, I do live not too far
away in Hancock County. I have several relatives (Starr), who are buried
there, plus some other relatives with different names. This could be of
great help! I have been doing my family's genealogy since my retirement
from teaching a few years ago.
Thanks,
Marilyn Starr Kleiman

The book is in Morrison-Reeves Library, reference section.
Doubt if book could still be purchased. It could be seen
and used, I do know.

These books were originally sold by the Allen Co. IN library 30 years ago.
But they are on the shelf in the Indiana State library on Ohio St. in
Indianapolis, and in the Richmond City library. These consisted of 4
volumes, and are remarkable as you would think Beverly Yount knew everyone
in the county. Her work is invaluable to those doing Wayne Co, research. But
that information, is of course limited to prior to about 1960 as the books
were published in the 70s'
What else is great, is her description of exactly where these cemeteries are
located.

Jean,
I'm sorry I don't have any info on Levi Jarrett. I have communicated with
some Jarrett descendants through posts on Roots Web Wayne Co site. There
were several marriages between Jarretts and my Robbins and Fender Families.
I always look for info on anyone buried @ Locust Grove M. E. Cemetery for my
project there.
