I've "rescued" a group of three photographs which all belong to the FOSTER
Family of Indiana. The first is a photograph of Martha FOSTER CRUBAUGH and
Mary FOSTER COLE which was taken at the M.H. Watts Studio in Richmond,
Indiana. The second surnames appear to have been added to later using a
different pen so I'm assuming that those are the girls married names.
The first photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's with the two
girls looking to be in their early to late teens at the time. The second
photograph has no studio or location noted but appears to be another
photograph of the girl identified as Mary FOSTER COLE. This photograph
appears to have been taken in the 1890's with Mary looking to be slightly
older than the previous photograph, maybe 15 years of age.
The third photograph is one of Mary FOSTER COLE, taken at the Watt Studio in
Richmond, IN, probably in the early 1900's with Mary likely in her 20's at
the time. I'm hoping to locate someone from this FOSTER Family so that
these wonderful old photographs can be returned to the care of family.
These photographs were recovered along with another photograph from
Richmond, IN belonging to the PORTERFIELD - BURBAGE Family. I've no idea
what the connection might be, however, the handwriting on all the
photographs is clearly made by the same hand. If you are a member of this
family or know someone who might be, please contact me.
Thanks,
Shelley
