Our two Blass families came to America about 1790 (mine) but Austria is not that far from
southern Germany but 100 years later.

Sam Blass Immigrated with his father and brothers around 1883. Sam's dad's name
was Nathan. They ended up in Kings county New York. My husband's father's name was
Morris. They lived in Brooklyn. They were Jewish.
