Dear Shelly. My name is Beverley Silver. I am not in this family, but I
live in Las Vegas NV. I know how to find a member of the family. I will gladly
start searching to help you.
Wish me luck. I know how you feel. Sincerely , Bev

I've "rescued" an old photograph of Ethel Mae LONGBON which was taken in
front of a house on Adams Street in Berea, OH sometime about 1912. Ethel
appears to be about 4-5 years old at the time it was taken. Based on
limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding
Ethel and her family:
Ethel Mae LONGBON was b. 19 Sept 1907 in Ohio to parents James Cranston
LONGBON (b. 2 Feb 1882 in Jackson, OH-d. 27 May 1976 in Richmond, IN) and
Nellie Mae Ellen SUMNER (b. 21 Aug 1881 in Columbia, OH). Ethel was one of
three children born to this couple including, Ethel M.; Lois E.; and Robert
J. LONGBON, all born in Ohio between 1908 and 1929. Ethel married Stephen
R. KRANEK (1902-1979) and together they had at least one child, a son
Robert
b. 1929. Ethel died 7 Jun 1990 and is buried in the Santa Barbara
Cemetery
in Santa Barbara, CA.
Her son Robert KRANEK married Edith COPAS on 19 Sept 1949 in Butler Co., OH
Census records provide the following information:
1920 census of Middleburg, OH:
James C. LONGBON, age 37, born OH, parents born OH, a Wholesale Meat Co.
Bookkeeper
Nellie M. LONGBON, wife, age 38, born OH, parents born OH
Ethel M. LONGBON, dau, age 12, born OH
Lois E. LONGBON, dau, age 7, born OH
I am hoping to locate someone from Ethel's family so that this wonderful
old
photograph can be returned to the care of her family. If you are a member
of this family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me.
Thanks,
Shelley
